The Security Assistance Monitor blog is a citizen’s guide to the U.S. security relationship with the rest of the world. The SAM blog facilitates meaningful transparency that will allow for public and media assessment and oversight of U.S. military and security assistance to Africa, the Middle East, and Central Eurasia.

The Security Assistance Monitor is a larger project set to launch this summer to expand coverage of the “Just the Facts” database on U.S. military and police assistance to the world. The SAM blog is a project of the Center for International Policy in partnership with the Project on Middle East Democracy (Middle East/North Africa), the Friends Committee on National Legislation (Africa), and Joshua Kucera (Central Eurasia).
